Tech and Analytics Firm Systems Planning & Analysis (SPA) to Expand Operations in Virginia

Systems Planning & Analysis (SPA), a leading technology and analytics company specializing in security and defense, has announced plans to expand its operations in Alexandria and Fairfax County, Virginia. This decision comes with a commitment to grow its headquarters workforce over the next five years, creating a significant number of new jobs in the region.

Governor Glenn Youngkin, in a recent announcement, revealed a $46.9 million investment by SPA for this expansion. The expansion is expected to bring over 1,200 new jobs to Northern Virginia, with 494 of these positions being created in Alexandria.

In Fairfax County, SPA will not only grow its existing Chantilly location but also explore new, nearby sites for further expansion. This move is set to create 714 new jobs for the county, contributing significantly to the local economy.

The expansion reflects SPA's commitment to providing exceptional data-driven analytical insights and fostering innovation within its own organization. As part of this expansion, the company is thrilled to welcome new talent and deepen its roots in Alexandria and Fairfax County.

The Commonwealth's pro-business policies have been a factor in SPA's decision to expand. In recognition of this growth, Governor Youngkin approved $9.2 million in grants from the Commonwealth's Opportunity Fund and the Virginia Economic Development Incentive Grant to assist with the project.

SPA boasts experts in various fields, including land, undersea, surface, and air warfare operations; intelligence community, radar and sensor systems; cyber security analysis and policy. With over 2,800 employees currently, the company is looking forward to further growth and the opportunities it brings.

This expansion is a testament to SPA's dedication to the region and its commitment to creating jobs and investing in the local economy. It's an exciting time for SPA and Northern Virginia as they embark on this journey of growth and innovation together.
