Stelato S9T: A Luxurious Electric Station Wagon Hits the Market

Stelato, the joint venture between Huawei and BAIC Group, has announced the pre-sales of its new offering, the Stelato S9T station wagon. The luxury electric vehicle is set to hit showrooms by the end of August, following the successful launch of the Stelato S9 sedan on August 6, 2024.

The Stelato S9T, priced between approximately $46,570 to $54,020, is a high-end electric station wagon that boasts advanced technology, multiple powertrain options, and spacious smart interior features. It measures 5,160 mm in length, 2,005 mm in width, 1,492 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 3,050 mm.

Key specifications of the Stelato S9T include two powertrain options: a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and an Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV). The BEV offers a single rear electric motor producing 227 kW (304-305 hp) for rear-wheel drive, with an optional all-wheel drive adding a 158 kW front motor (total 516 hp for AWD). The EREV features a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine (118 kW/158 hp) acting solely as a generator, alongside a 227 kW rear electric motor.

The BEV's 100 kWh battery provides up to 801 km (497 miles) CLTC range for AWD or 721 km for RWD. The EREV offers two battery options, 37 kWh and 53.4 kWh, with a pure electric range of up to 354-365 km and a combined gasoline and battery range of up to 1,305-1,355 km CLTC.

The Stelato S9T's interior is equipped with a trio of screens, including a 16.1-inch main display and a 12.3-inch passenger-side display. It also features a 25-speaker Huawei sound system, a co-pilot zero-gravity seat, compressor-based hot/cold box adjustable between -6°C to 50°C (mini refrigerator), multiple smart electric doors, and advanced driving assistance with Huawei ADS 4.0 system.

The S9T also offers options for 20- or 21-inch wheels and is equipped with safety features such as blind spot detection, lane keeping assist, emergency braking, and rear traffic monitoring. It also utilizes an Nvidia Orin-X processor for advanced computing.

Pre-sales of the Stelato S9T began on August 18, 2025, with extensive demand—20,000 orders reported in the first 24 hours in China. The station wagon is expected to hit the market in September.
