Hitachi India Reinforces Growth Strategies with New Appointment

Hitachi India Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of the global technology leader, announces the appointment of Mr. N Venu as its Managing Director, effective from June 2, 2025. The move is part of a growth strategy to reinforce Hitachi's presence in India and align with the company's new management plan - Inspire 2027.

In his new role, Venu, currently the Managing Director & CEO of Hitachi Energy India Limited and Region Head of South Asia, will concentrate on expanding Hitachi's legacy in India. He will strive to create value for customers by cohesively integrating the 28 Hitachi group companies in India and further strengthening the company's digital-centric transformation.

This appointment follows the elevation of Dr. Bharat Kaushal, the first Indian Managing Director of Hitachi India, to Executive Chairman, effective from April 1, 2025.

Hitachi's ambitious expansion in India spans across various sectors, including Rail, Digital, Connective Industries, Energy, Financial inclusion, e-Education, and Healthcare. The company aims to establish a delivery-layer framework through strategic partnerships to create a unique business model, monetizing the world's largest connected community.

Kojin Nakakita, Vice President and Executive Officer, Head of Regional Strategies at Hitachi, expressed his excitement about Venu's appointment, seeing it as a testament to Hitachi's diverse culture and increased collaboration among its group companies.
