Hero MotoCorp Sales, Exports Surge; Vida EVs See Strong Growth

Hero MotoCorp, India's leading two-wheeler manufacturer, has reported robust growth in sales and exports. The company's electric vehicle subsidiary, Vida, also saw a significant increase in registrations.

Hero MotoCorp sold 6,87,220 units in September 2025, marking an 8% increase from the same period last year. This strong performance was driven by a 5% increase in motorcycle units dispatched, reaching 6,26,217 units. Scooter units also saw a substantial 54% year-on-year increase, with 61,003 units dispatched in September 2025.

Exports nearly doubled, with 39,638 units shipped in September 2025 compared to the previous year. The company's electric vehicle subsidiary, Vida, contributed to this growth with 12,736 units registered in September. The Vida VX2 model, launched in 2023, has been a key driver of this growth.

Hero MotoCorp's total dispatches year-to-date for FY26 stand at 30,57,772 units, slightly ahead of the corresponding period in FY25. Domestic dispatches in September 2025 totalled 6,47,582 units, compared to 6,16,706 units in September 2024.

Hero MotoCorp's impressive September sales and exports, coupled with Vida's strong electric vehicle registrations, indicate a healthy growth trajectory for the company. With 3,23,230 Vahan registrations in September, showing a 19% year-on-year growth, and becoming the first Indian manufacturer to cross 125 million cumulative two-wheeler production, Hero MotoCorp continues to lead the Indian two-wheeler market.
