Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Canada successfully inaugurated by SOUND, marking the property's debut.
The first Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Canada, located in Ottawa, has unveiled a state-of-the-art audio system designed to deliver high-quality, immersive sound while maintaining aesthetic appeal.
Exterior Audio
The building's exterior is equipped with 25 Cannon C6 marine speakers from 1 SOUND. These speakers are color-matched to the building's facade and mounted using custom-painted C-Clamps with marine-grade hardware for weather resistance. This setup ensures durable, high-energy, full-range sound that welcomes guests from the parking lot to the entrance, providing a consistent branded atmosphere outdoors.
Indoor Audio
Inside, the Council Oak Stage hosts small bands, dueling pianos, and live acts. The system uses 1 SOUND Level L38 loudspeakers which are discreet (less than eight inches off the wall) and provide the sound pressure level (SPL) necessary for live performances while maintaining an upscale restaurant ambiance. These are paired with a SUB310 subwoofer that's been hidden in the ceiling to preserve the visual aesthetics while delivering powerful bass.
System Design Philosophy
The system balances the Hard Rock brand’s global audio standards with the need to not overwhelm the space visually or acoustically. The L38 speakers blend seamlessly into the walls, and the subwoofer placement is concealed, achieving both sonic clarity and stylish design.
Project & Integration
NV5 acted as the project consultant, with audio system integration executed by Clair Global in collaboration with local integrator Branch AV. This collaboration ensured professional installation meeting the venue’s technical and design requirements.
