Google's Decision to Set High Pixel 10 Pro Pricing

The much-anticipated Google Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro series are set to hit the market later this month, and recent leaks have shed light on their price and color options. According to distributor data and pricing leaks from Europe, Google is retaining a similar pricing strategy to the Pixel 9 series while offering a range of muted and pastel color options.

The base Google Pixel 10 will start at approximately €899 (~$1050) for the 128GB storage model, with a 256GB storage option available for around €999 (adds roughly €100). The Pixel 10 will be available in four colors: Obsidian (black), Frost (white), Indigo (purple or blue), and Lemongrass (pale yellow). Notably, the Jade (green) color option, which is available on Pro models, is only offered at 256GB storage for the Pixel 10.

Moving on to the Pixel 10 Pro, the base model will start at €1099 (~$1285) for the 128GB storage model. The Pixel 10 Pro will offer more storage options, with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and even a 1TB storage option (available exclusively in Obsidian). The Pixel 10 Pro will also be available in four colors: Obsidian, Porcelain (white), Moonstone, and Jade (green). The Jade color option is only available with 256GB storage.

The Pixel 10 Pro XL, reportedly starting at 256GB storage, has a slightly higher starting price than the Pro base model. However, there is no listing for a 128 GB variant of the Pixel 10 Pro XL in Europe.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold, a new addition to the series, is expected to start at €1,899 for 256 GB storage in Europe.

These details were revealed by WinFuture's Roland Quandt and Droid Life, suggesting that the Pixel 10 family will launch at a "Made By Google" event on Aug. 20, with a retail release the following week. The Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro handsets are expected to hit the shelves in late August.

The Pixel 10 is expected to feature three camera lenses, the Tensor G5 mobile chipset, and increased use of generative AI. The Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL will offer similar specifications, with the Pro Fold being a foldable device.

Gadgets enthusiasts can anticipate the arrival of the Google Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro smartphones, featuring different storage and color options, in the smartphone market this month. Despite the discontinuation of certain color options such as Jade on the Pixel 10, these new models will still showcase a range of muted and pastel colors, staying true to the technology giant's strategy. Prices for the new Pixel 10 series, such as the Pixel 10 Pro starting at €1099, reflect similar pricing strategies as the Pixel 9 series while offering a variety of storage options.
