IDS Borjomi Georgia, the country's leading mineral water producer, has officially opened a news bottling plant in Kvibisi, marking a significant milestone in the 135-year history of Borjomi, Georgia's flagship mineral water brand.

The modern nyt bottling plant, which is the largest investment in Georgia's beverage sector since independence, represents a historic moment for IDS Borjomi Georgia as it takes the company to a new stage. With a production capacity that will eventually expand to 1 billion bottles annually by 2030, the plant is set to play a crucial role in boosting Georgia's economy and beverage industry.

Initially, the plant will produce 750 million bottles annually, with capacity expanding to 1 billion bottles by 2030. The facility, which is located in Kvibisi, is the largest bottling operation in Georgia in terms of scale and production capacity.

The new plant, built on the site of the former No. 2 bottling plant, features four ultra-modern, high-tech production lines and advanced water bottling infrastructure. It will not only produce traditional Borjomi mineral water but also the company's new product portfolio, including Limonati by Borjomi, Bakuriani - water with taste, and Likani Flavored.

Afnan Ahsan, CEO of IDS Borjomi International, aims to strengthen Borjomi's position in international markets and expand operations in strategic markets such as the United States, China, and the Middle East. The plant's operations fully comply with Georgian national legislation and adhere to the highest international environmental and production standards, reflecting IDS Borjomi's commitment to responsible manufacturing.

The opening ceremony was attended by members of Georgia's executive, legislative, local governments, diplomats, as well as representatives of the business community. The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, emphasised the plant's social impact, stating that about 600 locally employed residents mean stable income for as many families and a new perspective of prosperity and development for the entire region.

Moreover, the plant was built with energy-efficient materials, ensuring its operations are environmentally friendly. This commitment to sustainability is a testament to IDS Borjomi Georgia's dedication to creating a greener future for the country.

As IDS Borjomi Georgia continues to grow and evolve, the new bottling plant in Kvibisi serves as a bridge between Borjomi's heritage and its future. The plant, which was officially opened on September 9, 2013, is a symbol of progress and innovation in Georgia's beverage industry.
