New Appointment at ICE Barcelona: Margaret Dunn to Drive Growth and Innovation

Margaret Dunn, a seasoned event management professional with a decade of experience, has been appointed as the new Portfolio Director for ICE Barcelona. Dunn joins the senior leadership team from Easyfairs, where she spent 10 years most recently as Portfolio Director responsible for the Energy and Logistics division.

Dunn's extensive experience managing a diversified portfolio of international exhibitions, magazines, award ceremonies, and digital products positions her well to drive growth and innovation for ICE, the premier global gaming business event. According to Clarion Gaming Managing Director Stuart Hunter, Dunn's leadership will help consolidate ICE Barcelona’s status as the most important business event in global gaming and support ambitious growth targets, attracting global customers from over 186 countries.

Dunn's primary focus for ICE 2026 is to increase participation by cutting-edge technology providers and grow the number of regulators attending the event, enhancing its role in shaping gambling policy worldwide. She will also champion progressive programs like diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) as well as sustainability initiatives, including the award-winning Sustainable Gambling Zone, at ICE 2026.

Clarion Gaming's success in relocating ICE from London to Barcelona was celebrated by Hunter, who announced Dunn's appointment and praised the team's efforts. The relocation resulted in the biggest ever gathering of gambling industry professionals in history, with over 300 regulators in attendance at ICE 2025. The key objective for ICE 2026 is to attract more cutting-edge technology providers.

Dunn expressed her excitement about working on ICE Barcelona, a world-class event impacting businesses globally. She looks forward to working with the ICE team to attract more technology providers and help the sector play a role in shaping future gambling policy. One of the priorities for ICE 2026 is to champion the DEIB program alongside the Sustainable Gambling Zone.

With Dunn's appointment, ICE Barcelona is poised for significant growth and innovation in the international gaming industry, fostering innovation, regulatory engagement, and sustainable practices.

Technology will be a focus for Margaret Dunn as she seeks to increase participation by cutting-edge technology providers at ICE 2026. Dunn's strategy at ICE Barcelona also includes growing the number of regulators attending the event, enhancing its role in shaping global gambling policy through the adoption of innovative technology.
