Forty-year Anniversary Celebration of Wonder Festival Filled with Abundance of 'VOTOMS'
With the 40th anniversary of Wonder Festival upon us, the event was bustling with excitement. As always, the event was divided into three halls in Makuhari Messe, with the first dedicated to commercial releases and the other two for fan-made creations.
The commercial hall was packed with offerings from big names like Good Smile Company. They showcased a plethora of Nintendo-related figures, primarily from Metroid and Splatoon. Unfortunately, their mecha releases were absent, but they promised to make up for it at a separate event.
Pixel-perfect updates to the Revoltech line of figures by Kaiyodo caught our eye. Their collection featured characters from Street Fighter and Ninja Gaiden, leaving us eager for their release.
Arcadia brought back the iconic transforming SDF-1 Macross toy, this time inspired by Macross: Do You Remember Love?. The re-release partnered well with the recent 4K remaster screening in theaters and the new Blu-ray release.
CCS Toys continues to impress with their diecast mecha figures, most notably their upcoming figure of Ultimate Dancouga from Super Robot Wars 30. The megahit figure promises to embody the series' epitome of epicness.

The fan-made side of Wonder Festival did not disappoint. VOTOMS had a strong presence, despite having no major anniversaries or new anime on the horizon. There were conversion kits for the Super Robot Wars 30 Scopedog and various Grantly Dogs, with a consistent showing of classic designs.
For the true Armored Core fans, an HUD lamp based on the game series was a must-have. Inspired by the HUDs from Nexus, Ninebreaker, and Last Raven, the lamp featured the CR-WR93RL linear rifle. The LED base enabled color changes, and a classic green hue was a popular choice.
Wonder Festival 2025 Winter was filled with exciting announcements and releases, despite the absence of a few major companies. The event offered an overwhelming array of mecha-related merchandise to keep fans satisfied and eager for more.
In the commercial hall, a notice about Good Smile Company's absence in the mecha genre for their 2025 event sparked anticipation for a separate event. The fan-made creations section saw a significant presence of VOTOMS, with conversion kits and classic designs, even without a new anime or anniversary. Armored Core fans were thrilled by the availability of an HUD lamp inspired by the game series, complete with an LED base allowing color changes, particularly in the popular green hue.
