Final version of Notion Ink's concept model unveiled

The Notion Ink Adam, a pioneering tablet released in 2010, is set to make a comeback with improved multi-tasking capabilities and memory optimization. The final production units of the Adam are currently being shipped from the manufacturing factory in China, according to Notion Ink.

The original Notion Ink Adam was renowned for its unique touch interface, Eden, which offered a desktop-like environment for freeform window management and enabled simultaneous interaction with multiple applications. This contrasted sharply with the typical full-screen app model on tablets at the time.

Powered by an Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core 1 GHz processor, the Adam boasted a 10.1-inch Pixel Qi capacitive multi-touch display, 1 GB of RAM, and options for 16 GB or 32 GB of internal storage. It ran on a customized version of Android 2.2 (Froyo) with the Eden interface.

In a bid to further enhance the user experience, Notion Ink has announced that the next version of the Adam will feature 1GB of DDRII 667MHz memory, which is double that of the Samsung Galaxy Tab and four-times that of the iPad. This upgrade is expected to significantly optimize memory while multi-tasking.

While the pictures of the Notion Ink Adam have been officially released, no new information about the multi-tasking capabilities or memory optimization has been provided. However, Notion Ink has confirmed that the next version of the Adam will offer a unique method of window management and design for touch while multi-tasking.

In addition, Notion Ink is soliciting customer opinions on the desired colours for the Adam's debut. The community's chosen colours are expected to be revealed on October 22.

Michael Kozlowski, a well-known technology journalist based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, has been writing about the Notion Ink Adam for the past eighteen years. He has also covered topics such as audiobooks, e-books, and e-readers. The latest updates on the Notion Ink Adam can be found on their website.

The final production units of the Notion Ink Adam are set to roll out in early November. With its enhanced multi-tasking capabilities and improved memory optimization, the Adam is poised to redefine tablet usage once again.

The Notion Ink Adam, due for release in early November, will not only boast improved multi-tasking capabilities but also memory optimization. This modern tablet, set to redefine tablet usage once again, is expected to offer a unique method of window management and design for touch while multi-tasking, similar to its pioneering predecessor. As technology continues to evolve, smartphones and other gadgets, including e-readers, are constantly competing with such innovative devices like the Notion Ink Adam.
