Fedrok AG Launches $20K Grant for African Blockchain Developers
Swiss blockchain company Fedrok AG has launched a $20,000 grant for African developers, aiming to foster the creation of blockchain-based micro-transaction apps in underserved regions of Chad and Niger. Applications are open until June 1, 2025.
The grant, launched by Fedrok AG, a Switzerland-based Layer 1 blockchain company specializing in sustainable infrastructure and carbon credit tokenization, seeks proposals that demonstrate technical feasibility, local relevance, scalability, cost-effectiveness, and regional understanding. Applicants must have blockchain experience and cultural familiarity with Chad and Niger.
Proposals should include an executive summary, technical approach, development timeline, team profiles, budget breakdown, and deployment strategy. The Minimum Viable Product (MVP) should support peer-to-peer transactions, function on low-bandwidth networks, integrate with Fedrok's blockchain, and be user-friendly. Selected developers will receive funding, mentorship, access to development tools, and potential ongoing collaboration. A one-on-one orientation session with the CEO is available on May 23, 2025.
As of October 2, 2025, no public information is available about which African developers or teams have applied. The grant aims to address financial access barriers in underserved regions of Africa, with applications closing on June 1, 2025.
