FanDuel buys gaming company, BeyondPlay, announced
In a significant move, FanDuel, the leading sportsbook and the second-largest iGaming brand in the US, has acquired BeyondPlay, a B2B technology venture offering next-generation iGaming software. This strategic acquisition, finalised in February 2024, marks a significant leap in FanDuel's growth trajectory and its footprint in the US online casino market.
BeyondPlay, founded by Karolina Pelc in 2021, offers two flagship products: a Jackpot Management System and Multiplayer Software. The Jackpot Management System is content-agnostic and highly customisable, enabling the creation of engaging jackpot campaigns. The Multiplayer Software allows multiple users to participate in the same casino game sessions, pool their stakes, and share their entertainment experience.
The acquisition of BeyondPlay has been instrumental in enhancing FanDuel's iGaming offer, particularly with the addition of market-proven, best-in-class jackpot technology and innovative multiplayer software capabilities. As a result, FanDuel Casino has launched "FanDuel Casino Jackpots" across multiple states, offering a progressive jackpot product in at least three states and increasing its selection of jackpot games to over 150 titles.
This expansion has contributed to FanDuel's reputation as a leading online casino brand that operates in major regulated states such as New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. In Q4 2023, FanDuel Casino's market share grew to 26%, up 5% year-on-year.
