EU Commission introduces program to amplify mobile app adoption across the European Union
In the bustling heart of Austria, the IT sector took centre stage at the 14th Constantinus Awards, an annual event that honours the best consulting projects in the country. Over 700 guests gathered at the Linzer Design Center on June 9th, eager to witness the recognition of innovation and excellence in the industry.
Among the many consulting projects, a significant focus was on the digital world, reflecting the growing importance of technology in Austria's economy. The IT service sector, in particular, is experiencing a period of remarkable growth, with revenue reaching a significant 17.85 billion euros. This growth rate, higher than many other sectors, has propelled the IT service sector to become an important contributor to Austria's economy.
One of the highlights of the event was the evaluation category "Mobile Apps," sponsored by our website. The winners in this category were Michael Sacher, Thomas Hugl, and Klaus Gampl from the company Kelag-Kärntner Elektrizitäts-AG. Their winning project was the "waterandmore" app, a testament to the innovative spirit that drives the Austrian IT sector.
CEO Lukas Praml, present at the event, presented the award in the "Mobile Apps" category. Praml, a firm believer in the potential of mobile apps, stated that their development is a key factor for the future business of their company. He also emphasised the need for more innovation in Austria in the field of mobile apps, believing it to be beneficial for the country's economic growth.
The growth of the IT sector in Austria is dynamic, with IT service providers achieving a growth of 7.2%. This growth is higher than the overall GDP growth, indicating a robust and thriving sector. The sector's success is further underscored by the international recognition achieved by some of its key players. For instance, the company's digital ID app MIA has set an international benchmark.
According to WIFO, Austria's real GDP growth was 0.3%. Despite this modest growth, the IT sector continues to outperform, offering a beacon of hope and progress in Austria's economic landscape. As the IT service sector continues to grow and innovate, it promises to play an increasingly significant role in Austria's economy.
Gadgets were equally essential at the event, as the winning project, "waterandmore" app, showcases the role of innovative technology in Austria's IT sector. Lukas Praml, a strong advocate for mobile apps, highlighted the importance of technology in driving future business growth and underlined the need for more technological innovation in Austria.
