Emovis Launches Major OBO Project in Chile to Revolutionize Toll Processing

Emovis has initiated a significant project in Chile, assisting ViasChile in implementing its new Operational Back Office (OBO) solution. The system aims to enhance electronic toll processing and data quality on the country's highways.

Emovis, a global leader in free-flow tolling systems, will guide ViasChile throughout the OBO implementation. This includes defining business rules and integrating the system with third-party platforms.

The OBO, designed to handle high data volumes with minimal human intervention, is part of ViasChile's Operational Domain Design Project. The project is led by the Commercial Operation Area, Technology and Innovation team, and the Processes and Environment Area.

The contract was signed in May 2024, with the first phase commencing in July and the entire project expected to last 18 months. The Emovis OBO, known as Emovis Qualify, will initially impact Autopista Central, Santiago's largest urban highway.

Backed by a decade of experience, Emovis has successfully implemented similar OBOs worldwide. The scalable solution ensures 100% management of transactions sent by roadside systems using advanced robots and algorithms. It is tailored to local client needs and continually innovates to enable robust revenue collection.

Emovis' OBO implementation in Chile, supported by a 10-year track record, promises to revolutionize toll processing and data management on Autopista Central. The project, part of ViasChile's Operational Domain Design Project, is expected to enhance efficiency and revenue collection, setting a new standard for toll management in the country.
