Electric Vehicle Sales Report for January 2025: Ola Regains Lead, TVS and Bajaj Close Second

In the rapidly evolving world of electric vehicles, January 2025 saw a significant shift in the electric scooter market with Ola Electric taking the top spot in the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) EV Sales.

The third-gen Ola S1 e-scooter range, streamlined by Ola Electric, proved to be a hit among consumers, selling almost double the units compared to December 2024. The founder and CEO of Ola Electric, Bhavish Aggarwal, led the company to this impressive achievement.

Bajaj, on the other hand, slipped down to third place in the FADA EV Sales, approximately 3000 units behind Ola Electric. Despite this, Bajaj's Chetak 35 series of e-scooters have recently entered the market, aiming to regain its position.

Ather, another major player in the electric scooter market, found itself in fourth place in the same sales chart. However, Ather has been consistently improving its monthly performance and recently, the Rizta from Ather was crowned the Scooter of the Year at the 2025 our website Awards. The Rizta caters to the demand for a sophisticated and smart family e-scooter among Indian audiences.

TVS, in the second position, has been performing well with its iQube series of e-scooters. The range of options in the TVS iQube series caters to various range requirements, making it a popular choice among consumers.

Meanwhile, Ather is seeking its Initial Public Offering (IPO) soon, aiming to further expand its presence in the stock market. The Roadster and Roadster X motorcycle series are expected to be introduced by Ola Electric, adding to the growing diversity in the electric two-wheeler market.

As the race for electric vehicle dominance heats up, it will be interesting to see how these companies continue to innovate and cater to the evolving needs of consumers in the movies and stock market today.
