The MG Cyberster, an electric convertible that blends style, technology, and sustainability in its design, comes in two versions: the Single-Motor and the Dual-Motor.

The key differences between these two versions lie in their power, drivetrain layout, acceleration, and range. The Single-Motor version, known as the Trophy, delivers 340 hp, providing a sporty but not supercar-paced performance. It accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in approximately 5.0 seconds. On the other hand, the Dual-Motor version, called the GT, produces over 500 hp, sprinting to 100 kph in a claimed 3.2 seconds, with real-world figures very close to this.

The Dual-Motor version uses 3-phase permanent magnet synchronous motors on both front and rear axles for All-Wheel Drive (AWD), providing superior traction and launch control. This results in quicker acceleration compared to the Single-Motor version. However, the GT's higher power consumption reduces its range compared to the Trophy, with a claimed range of around 276 miles.

Both versions of the Cyberster are equipped with the same 77 kWh battery, a slim pack only 110mm thick, which helps lower the centre of gravity in both cases.

While the Single-Motor version offers a more relaxed, grand tourer vibe, the Dual-Motor version is a high-performance GT, delivering supercar-level acceleration and grip.

Meanwhile, the Honda Jazz, another vehicle under examination, does not share the same characteristics as the Cyberster. It does not have a classic British design, is not an electric convertible, and is not known for its modern performance. Additionally, it does not come in Single-Motor or Dual-Motor versions.

In conclusion, the Dual-Motor MG Cyberster GT offers superior performance, AWD capability, and quicker acceleration at the cost of slightly reduced range and higher weight, while the Single-Motor Trophy provides a more affordable, less extreme but still sporty experience.
