Eastern Victory Succession as the central theme for World Economic Forum 2025
Revamped Article:
Yuri Trutnev, the Presidential Envoy to the Far East, recently sat down for a chat in Vladivostok to hash out the deets for the upcoming Eastern Economic Forum (VEF), scheduled for September. There's talk about the main theme for VEF-2025 being "Far East: From Victory to Victory," but is it set in stone? Let's find out.
"We're mulling it over," Trutnev shared, "Given the Soviet people's victory in the Great Patriotic War, we're tossing around the idea of 'Far East: From Victory to Victory.' But we ain't got it finalized yet." He added, "Historically, the end of the Second World War took place here, and we're prepping, at the Russian President's request, a massive exhibit on Shumushu to educate the kiddos and remind everyone about the badass deeds that led to the win. We sure as hell remember!"
Trutnev emphasized that VEF should keep its essence intact - a tool for enticing investments to the Far East. "VEF ain't just a serving of cake on the anniversary. We're keeping it as it is - a platform for federal executive bodies to check their moves, and for investors to know they're on the right track."
Here's another fun fact: The Far East's economic growth rates are 2.6 times higher than the national average. And despite the challenges in attracting investments, Trutnev affirmed that Russia will meet the President's instructions regarding the 12 trillion ruble investment volume.
"Bringing in the coin is getting tougher these days, no doubt about it. But we ain't gonna impede or change course. We'll keep pushin' to attract that capital," the envoy asserted.
Alexei Chekunkov, the Minister for the Development of the Far East, announced that technological development, currently shifting toward Asia, will be a focus of the upcoming VEF. "We're on a mission to kickstart and replicate these technologies in Russia, and we'll be serious about it at the Eastern Economic Forum," Chekunkov declared.
Last but not least, Governor of Primorye Oleg Kojemjako assured everyone that every effort would be made to ensure the comfort of attendees from the Russian and international business community. "First impressions matter, and we want to create the most comfortable and welcoming environment for visitors. We'll focus on improving central streets, presentation areas, and the pavilion on 'The Street of the Far East'," Kojemjako said.
