The test drive route, clocking in at around 500 km, kicked off in the city of Kyzylorda. This wasn't their first rodeo—it was their second such event organized by Chery Kazakhstan, following the Tiggo8 Pro Max inspection in 2022. The destination wasn't chosen at random. These bad boys are often compared to commercial jets due to the Honeywell turbochargers they share with aircraft engines and their luxury cabin comfort.
Tiggo 9: Power, Pizazz, and Tech
The Tiggo 9 is the big kahuna of the Chery lineup. Under its hood, you'll find a snazzy new 2.0T GDI engine with 245 horsepower, making it the first model from the brand to rock an 8-speed automatic transmission and 20-inch premium design wheels.
"The Tiggo 9 handles like a dream on the road, especially when hitting speeds up to 140 km/h. It's crazy stable, both on pavement and off-road," said blogger Aset Murzabaev.

The dimensions of the Chery Tiggo 9 are 4810×1925×1741 mm. As a family vehicle, it dishes up a roomy 2.1 sq.m. cargo area with the second and third-row seats stowed away. The Tiggo 9 is built on the snazzy new T2X modular platform, ensuring better handling and high safety levels. The bod's 85% constructed with high-strength steel.

Witnessing the launch of the Soyuz MS-27 spacecraft from the "Vostok" observation platform, alongside Russian cosmonauts S. Ryazhikov, A. Zubritsky, and NASA astronaut D. Kim, was an out-of-this-world experience for the test drive squad.
"I was genuinely hyped like a kid. These folks are doing some seriously incredible stuff here, and it's beyond belief," blogger Aliya Baybusinova revealed. 'Astana Motors' Unveils Chery Tiggo 9
After the test drive, an official unveiling of Chery's new model went down in Astana, where the first buyer of the model received the keys to the crossover that pushes comfort, driving quality, and technology to new heights.
"I've got faith that the Kazakh consumers will dig the Tiggo 9," emphasized Chery Kazakhstan's distribution director Nurlan Shamgonov. "This ride deserves some serious attention. In the near future, Chery cars will be cranked out at a multi-brand plant in Almaty, slated to open in the second quarter of this year."
The brand's been present in Kazakhstan since 2021. In its second year, Chery's racing up the popularity charts among officially-represented Chinese brands in the country. As of now, over 35,000 Chery cars have been sold. The new Chery Tiggo 9 is already available in 26 dealerships across 19 cities, going for 19,990,000 tenge.
