Damaged Cybertruck Door Results in Leg Injury for Owner

How Tesla's Cybertruck Ramps Up the Danger Factor

In the spirit of proving (or disproving) the indestructible nature of the Tesla Cybertruck, one owner found an unexpectedly dangerous spot - the truck's door. Sharing the grim details on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum, this daring pioneer revealed a hidden hazard that left a deep gash on their leg, reminding us all that not everything glitters gold in the cyber world.

Ambling out of the Cybertruck while it was parked on an incline, the unsuspecting owner experienced a close encounter with the truck's corner door, which was just sharp enough to leave a mark worthy of a visit to the ER. While the edge isn't built to lop off limbs, it certainly possesses the power to inflict a deep gash - a sight no one wants to witness on a sunny day.

Alas, we shall spare you the gory image, but it's available in all its bloody glory over on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum, if you're so inclined.

Glancing at the Cybertruck's doors, it's easy to see why they might pack a punch. Their angular bottoms evoke an image of a scalpel hiding in plain sight, ready to slice through unsuspecting legs when the need arises. In fact, there's even a warning tucked away in the Cybertruck's manual, a hidden gem that owners apparently never bothered with. In it, there are warnings for both the edges of the doors and proper opening procedure:

Warning

  1. Exercise caution around the panel edges on Cybertruck, including the doors, powered frunk, tailgate, and surrounding panels.
  2. When pulling the door open, always grasp the door at the top as shown. Keep hands and fingers away from the opening edge, especially when supervising children if they are opening and closing the doors. This is especially important when handling the front door since the opening edge can cause injury when opening or closing the associated rear door. Neglecting to follow the correct opening procedure for front and rear doors can lead to injury.

In essence, the Cybertruck's doors, with their tough as nails exterior and unconventional design, are no pushovers. But, much like the tests we've witnessed, even an injury can't shake the unwavering faith that many owners hold for Tesla and itsCaptain Marvel-esque creations. The brave soul, unfazed by the incident and sporting a battle scar to prove their love for the truck, breezily noted, "I'm clumsy, so this is 100% my fault lol I still love the truck!"

This eyebrow-raising revelation initially surfaced on the auto enthusiast platform, Jalopnik.

P.S. - While our search for common door-related injuries in the broader community was fruitless, it might be worth investigating consumer reports or online discussions among Cybertruck owners for more insight.
