Cybertruck Owners Battle Persistent Fogging, Off-Gassing Issues

Cybertruck owners are grappling with a persistent issue: fogging and off-gassing from interior materials. This problem, affecting visibility and even impacting the truck's FSD functionality, has been ongoing for over a year. Liberty, a Cybertruck owner from Florida, has been dealing with this issue since he bought his truck.

The fogging issue is caused by gases released from interior materials building up on the truck's glass surfaces. Liberty has found that cleaning the inside of the windshield with Sprayway ammonia-free glass cleaner before every drive helps to temporarily alleviate the problem. However, the root cause persists.

Owners have shared various suggestions to tackle this issue. One approach is to leave the truck in heat with cracked windows and use fans to circulate air, speeding up the off-gassing process. Another suggestion is to use ceramic coating or other sealants to help with the fogging. Despite living in Florida and parking his truck outside, Liberty hasn't found the heat to accelerate the off-gassing process significantly.

Tesla has not yet provided specific solutions for this issue. Owners are encouraged to share their experiences and tips to help one another. Regular cleaning and attempts to speed up off-gassing seem to be the current remedies. Liberty continues to hope for a permanent solution from Tesla.
