The electric vehicle (EV) market in the Netherlands continues to thrive, with battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) capturing a larger share of the new car registrations. According to recent data, BEVs held a 15.6% share of new car registrations across the EU in the first half of 2025, with the Netherlands reporting a 6.1% increase in BEV registrations during this period [2][3][4].
