Consultancy in Edinburgh's user experience field successfully secures financial resources, simultaneously announcing the appointment of a CEO and chair.
Edinburgh-based UX consultancy, User Vision, has received a significant boost with a six-figure investment from the British Business Bank's Investment Fund for Scotland (IFS) through Maven Capital Partners. This funding will support User Vision's next phase of growth, including the appointment of Martin Dempsey as CEO and Adrian Astley Jones as chair.
The investment is considered a powerful endorsement of User Vision's people, expertise, and reputation for pioneering research and user-centered design. Chris Rourke, the founder and executive director of User Vision, expressed his delight, stating that this partnership with Maven will help User Vision amplify its impact, enabling more organizations to deliver experiences that are not only exceptional, but accessible to all.
Rob Stevenson, investment manager at Maven, commented that User Vision is a highly respected consultancy with deep expertise in user research and accessibility. As organizations increasingly recognize the importance of customer-centric design, User Vision is well-placed to take advantage of growing demand for UX and accessibility services.
Adrian Astley Jones, a seasoned private equity executive and board advisor, joins User Vision to strengthen its leadership and drive a more targeted sales strategy. His appointment, along with Martin Dempsey's, brings further strength to the leadership team. Maven is delighted to be supporting User Vision as they scale.
User Vision, one of the first dedicated UK consultancies focused on UX and accessibility across both digital and physical products and services, uses extensive research methods like surveys, interviews, focus groups, and behavioral studies to understand customer needs, pain points, and motivations. The investment received will support business development, marketing activity, and expansion into more verticals within the wider digital transformation market.
Over the years, User Vision has worked with over 350 clients in more than 50 countries, including Emirates, NHS, People's Postcode Lottery, and Vodafone. With the new leadership and investment, User Vision is poised to continue its mission of delivering user-centered design solutions that enhance user experiences and promote accessibility.
