In a groundbreaking development, Rivada Space Networks has partnered with Wiseband to create customised private satellite networking solutions. This partnership is set to revolutionise the spacex communications landscape, particularly in the Middle East.

The centrepiece of this collaboration is the OuterNET system, an ultra-secure satellite network composed of laser-linked satellites. This constellation, developed by Rivada Space Networks, offers a game-changing level of security, latency, capacity, efficiency, and coverage.

The OuterNET system forms a fully interconnected orbital marketplace. Remarkably, it can route traffic at gigabit speeds from one satellite to another without the need for a gateway on earth. This innovative design provides pole-to-pole coverage and end-to-end latencies lower than terrestrial fibre over similar long distances.

Declan Ganley, CEO of Rivada Space Networks, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, "The OuterNET constellation offers game-changing connectivity in terms of security, latency, capacity, efficiency, and coverage in the space industry."

Rivada Space Networks has ordered 300 satellites from Terran Orbital for the OuterNET system. This network will offer a next-generation infrastructure for secure, resilient communications and network expansion in the Middle East region.

Ahmed Hassan, CEO of Wiseband, aims to leverage Rivada Space Networks' secure communication network for advanced solutions for existing enterprise customers and emerging markets in the Middle East.

This partnership is not Rivada Space Networks' first foray into the region. They already have connectivity projects in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Egypt. In January 2024, they won partners including Vodafone and US telecommunications company Telstra for expanding their private satellite network solutions.

The orbital network offered by Rivada Space Networks routes traffic on a physically separated network, providing a layer of defense for organisations sharing data between widely distributed sites. This added security measure is particularly valuable in today's digital age where data protection is paramount.

With the OuterNET system, Rivada Space Networks is set to redefine spacex communications, offering unprecedented levels of security, speed, and coverage. The partnership with Wiseband promises to bring these advanced solutions to the Middle East, marking a significant step forward in the region's digital infrastructure.
