Volkswagen Extends Discount Action for ID Models until September 2025
Volkswagen has announced an extension of its discount action for its ID models, offering customers a chance to save on some of the best-selling electric cars in Germany. The news was first reported on Elektroauto-News.net.
The extended discount action applies to all battery-electric passenger car models of the ID family from Volkswagen, with one exception. The ID 3 Pure is currently offered with a leasing deal of 399 euros per month, a savings of 100 euros compared to the last quarter. The ID.3, the cheapest model in the ID series, now has an entry-level price of 29,830 euros, thanks to a price discount of 3,500 euros.
The original end date for the discount action was March 2025, but it was first extended to June and now further to September 30, 2025. The exact reason for the extension beyond September has not been specified.
The ID models are consistently popular, with the ID.3 being the top-selling ID model, leaving the competition far behind. The tough competition in the electric car market, especially due to decreasing subsidies and increasing competition from China, may be a factor in the extension of the discount action.
Volkswagen continues to push electric cars with full force, and the extension of the discount action may be a strategy to boost sales of the ID models.
In addition to the discount action, there are other incentives for electric vehicle (EV) buyers. The federal EV tax credit offers up to $7,500 for new electric vehicles and expires on September 30, 2025. Some states like Colorado offer additional credits, but these are not model-specific.
For the Volkswagen ID.4, a 0.0% APR financing offer is available for 72 months but only through July 31, 2025. This is not a discount but a financing incentive.
In the UK, a government grant offers discounts up to £3,750 for certain electric vehicles, though Volkswagen ID models under £37,000 might not specifically be mentioned in this context.
For specific discounts on each ID model, it would be best to contact a local dealership or check Volkswagen's official website for the most accurate and up-to-date offers.
Businesses in the technology sector, such as Volkswagen, are leveraging discounts and financing incentives to boost sales of their electric vehicles (EVs), like the ID models. The extended ID discount action, running until September 2025, is not only for the ID.3 but also applies to all battery-electric passenger car models of the ID family, apart from the ID 3 Pure, which offers a leasing deal of 399 euros per month. Additionally, the federal EV tax credit offers up to $7,500 for new electric vehicles in the United States, providing another financial incentive for potential EV buyers.
