One city that has embraced this transformation swiftly is Kanpur, where the Smart City project has already taken root. The focus is not just on modern technology, but also on the acceptance and leveraging of these advancements by citizens, a crucial factor in improving the quality of life in Smart Cities.
The transition towards cleaner and greener cities is also underway, with the adoption of BSVI compliant, low emission vehicles set to solve the pollution problem in the future. However, the fumes from tens of millions of old vehicles still need to be addressed.
Smart City projects are not limited to transportation and emission control. A positive attitude and a focus on the larger cause of citizens have been key factors in the success of Smart City projects.
Real-time Pollution Monitoring, integrated with a command and control center, is being implemented to help administrators make real-time decisions to reduce pollution levels.
