**DENZA Makes a Grand Entrance into the UK Market at Goodwood Festival of Speed**

DENZA, the luxury subsidiary of Chinese automotive giant BYD, is set to make its debut in the UK market at the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed. The brand, known for its European influence, sophisticated technologies, and focus on sustainable new-energy powertrains, will be showcasing three new models: the Z9GT, D9, and B5.

Leading the charge is the DENZA Z9GT, a premium luxury station wagon built on BYD's advanced e3 tri-motor platform. Powered by a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) system known as the Super DM hybrid, the Z9GT boasts a combined output of approximately 640 kW (about 858 - 952 bhp depending on source) and 935 Nm torque. This impressive powertrain enables acceleration from 0-100 km/h in around 3.4 to 3.6 seconds, making it a formidable competitor in the grand tourer segment.

The Z9GT's PHEV powertrain consists of a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, three electric motors (one front axle, two rear axles), and a 38.5 kWh BYD LFP Blade battery. The battery provides an EV-only range of around 200 km and a combined total range of up to 1,100 km (CLTC cycle). The Z9GT's interior is adorned with luxury burgundy leather, a three-screen dashboard setup with a dedicated front passenger entertainment screen, a large 17-inch central infotainment display, dual wireless chargers, and advanced comfort tech such as a crystal gear shifter and heated/cooled compartments.

The D9, a huge luxury MPV, and the B5, a premium SUV with some off-road capability, will also be on display at Goodwood. While details on the D9's PHEV system are less outlined, it is expected to offer premium features and advanced technology consistent with DENZA’s luxury positioning. The B5, which was showcased alongside the Z9GT and D9, is likely to share BYD’s current EV technology platform, potentially including PHEV options.

Sales for DENZA are expected to start in the UK at the beginning of 2026. Executive Vice President of BYD, Stella Li, has expressed confidence that British car enthusiasts will appreciate DENZA's blend of European influence, sophisticated technologies, fine craftsmanship, and focus on sustainable new-energy powertrains.

The DENZA Z9GT, D9, and B5 represent a significant step forward in DENZA's international expansion and showcase the brand's commitment to delivering high-performance, technologically advanced vehicles with a focus on sustainability.
