Bugatti Debuts Its New Solitaire Division Featuring a Unique Brouillard Supercar

The Bugatti Brouillard, a one-of-a-kind supercar, marks the beginning of Bugatti's Programme Solitaire, a division dedicated to ultimate luxury and exclusivity[1][2][3]. This extraordinary vehicle boasts a powerful 1,578-horsepower 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine, delivering 1,180 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive[1][2][3].

The design of the Brouillard is a bespoke masterpiece, with a distinctive two-tone finish: satin green on the upper body and green-tinted exposed carbon fiber on the lower parts, inspired by the look of a "trained horse" as a tribute to Ettore Bugatti's favorite horse named Brouillard[1][2][3]. The exterior sports a classic horseshoe-shaped grille, LED headlights reflecting the Mistral model styling, and muscle-like, reflection-based surfaces without sharp lines, emphasizing power and athleticism[2][3]. A fixed ducktail rear wing enhances aerodynamic balance, complemented by a specialized rear diffuser and innovative exhaust packaging, marking the peak of Bugatti's W16 development[1][3].

The chassis combines carbon fiber and aluminum, with adjustable suspension and wide Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, designed for exceptional stability and performance at high speeds[1][3]. The car weighs about 1,995 kg and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, with a top speed capped near 380 km/h (261 mph)[1][2][3].

Inside, the Brouillard blends heritage and modern artistry, with custom-woven Parisian tartan fabric, green-tinted carbon fiber trim, and machined aluminum accents. Notably, the gear shifter features a miniature sculpture of the horse Brouillard, while the panoramic glass roof creates a "cathedral-like" atmosphere. The interior also includes subtle equestrian-inspired leather details and a custom emblem honoring the horse, reinforcing the car's thematic legacy and uniqueness[2][3].

The Brouillard shares headlamps and taillamps with the Mistral, but the interior materials are unique to the Brouillard. A bust of a horse's head is included in the clear portion of the gear shifter, replacing the elephant sculpture found in the Mistral[1].

This combination of heritage-inspired luxury, bespoke design, and extreme performance distinguishes the Bugatti Brouillard as a singular masterpiece in the hypercar world. The Bugatti Brouillard supercar is a testament to the brand's commitment to crafting unique and extraordinary vehicles.
