Audinate & Lawo Team Up to Integrate Dante Audio & Video into HOME Apps
Audinate and Lawo have joined forces to integrate Dante audio and video technologies into Lawo's HOME Apps. The companies aim to showcase their collaborative efforts in early 2025, with a focus on software running on generic compute.
Lawo's deputy CEO Jamie Dunn has hailed the integration of Dante into HOME Apps as a significant milestone for the open, unified HOME platform. Audinate's co-founder and CEO Aidan Williams has expressed excitement about the partnership, incorporating Dante into Lawo's software vision.
The collaboration will introduce new Dante Importer and Dante Exporter services into and out of HOME, enabling interaction with Dante networks. Lawo plans to integrate Dante APIs and SDKs into HOME for control, management, and media signals for Dante networks. The integration is expected to provide seamless interoperability and agility for diverse Dante-enabled sources and destinations.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by Audinate and Lawo underscores the significance of the Dante network protocol in studio, install, and live-sound sectors. The integration will extend to HOME Apps, including Dante AV video signals, along with audio sources like Dante, SMPTE ST 2110, NDI, SRT, and RAVENNA. Users can anticipate native discovery and management mechanisms for Dante devices and software, as well as access to Dante audio and video within Lawo's HOME management platform.
