Audi India Launches Electric SUVs e-tron and e-tron Sportback

Audi India has announced the launch of its all-electric SUVs, the e-tron and the e-tron Sportback, in the Indian market. The much-anticipated launch, which was initially planned for the end of last year, has been postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The e-tron and e-tron Sportback are electric SUVs that come with a dual-motor setup, producing 300 kW/408 HP. They are equipped with progressive steering, adaptive air suspension, and an electric all-wheel-drive system, ensuring optimal traction, handling, and driving comfort in all driving situations.

The e-tron and e-tron Sportback can accelerate from 0-100kmph in an impressive 5.7 seconds. They are powered by a 95kWh battery and have a WLTP range of 359 to 484 km. The vehicles can be charged with an 11kW AC home charger in 8.5 hours.

Balbir Singh Dhillon, the head of Audi India, stated that the future is electric and that Audi India will launch several new models under the e-tron brand. He also mentioned that each of these SUVs can be booked with an initial booking amount of INR 5 lakhs.

Bookings for the e-tron and e-tron Sportback can be made online through the Audi India website or at the nearest Audi India dealership. The e-tron, which is referred to as a brand in itself, has already made a significant impact in the electric vehicle market, and the e-tron Sportback is expected to follow suit.

However, Audi has not provided any specific details about the charging infrastructure that will be available for these electric SUVs in India. With the increasing demand for electric vehicles, it is expected that Audi India will announce charging infrastructure plans in the near future.

The e-tron and e-tron Sportback come with a four-zone air conditioner as standard, ensuring a comfortable ride for all passengers. They are also equipped with advanced safety features, making them a safe and reliable choice for Indian roads.

In conclusion, the launch of the e-tron and e-tron Sportback in India marks a significant step towards a more sustainable future. With their impressive performance, range, and advanced features, these electric SUVs are set to revolutionise the Indian automotive industry.
