Artificial Intelligence company, LunaPath, introduces new platform to lessen tasks for brokers and third-party logistics providers.
Chicago-Based Startup LunaPath Launches AI Platform to Revolutionize Freight Brokerage
In a significant development for the freight brokerage industry, Chicago-based startup LunaPath has unveiled an AI platform designed to assist freight brokers and third-party logistics providers. The innovative platform is aimed at automating routine work and speeding up operations for its clients.
Abhishek Porwal, the founder of LunaPath, has an impressive background in the logistics sector. Prior to LunaPath, Porwal co-founded DreamOrbit and led technology builds for several logistics companies, including GlobalTranz, MercuryGate, Emerge, SMC3, Trans Logistics, and Crane Worldwide Logistics.
LunaPath's AI agents are designed to handle the heavy lifting of data, allowing people to focus on growth. According to Porwal, LunaPath isn't about replacing people but equipping them. The AI agents offer modular, specialist solutions tuned to specific freight workflows.
Early pilots of the LunaPath platform have reportedly delivered impressive efficiency gains. Companies that have integrated LunaPath as specialized AI agents into their platforms have experienced up to 61% efficiency gains, with payback periods under 90 days.
Notable companies such as Flexport and project44 have integrated LunaPath into their respective platforms. Flexport, a leading logistics service provider, has reportedly reduced exception handling costs from $7.40 per incident to a fraction of that by using LunaPath. Similarly, project44, a supply chain intelligence provider, has seen improvements in its customer experience and automated 100% of exceptions following the integration of LunaPath.
Nick Douglas, senior director of product at project44, stated that LunaPath enabled quick and economical resolution of exceptions. The AI platform automates carrier check-calls, proof-of-delivery, document retrieval, multi-channel follow-ups, and updates into transportation management systems (TMS).
While project44 has not disclosed any specific efficiency gains or payback period related to its use of LunaPath, the company has recently released a free Tariff Simulator, which is not directly related to the use of LunaPath.
Porwal compared LunaPath's AI agents to forklifts for data, handling the heavy lifting so people can steer toward growth. With its innovative AI platform, LunaPath is set to transform the freight brokerage industry, making operations more efficient and streamlined.
