July 2025 May See the Debut of DJI's First Consumer 360 Camera - Osmo 360

Drones manufacturer DJI may be preparing to expand its product line with the launch of the Osmo 360, its first consumer 360-degree camera. According to Chinese tech website IT Home, the camera could potentially hit the market in July 2025.

Details about the Osmo 360 have been slowly leaking since an FCC filing in October 2024. The camera is rumored to boast a 45-degree mirror system, a touchscreen, compatibility with the DJI Mimo app, and a 1950 mAh battery similar to the Osmo Action 5 Pro. No prototypes have been distributed widely, however, which has fueled uncertainty regarding its release.

Competition in the 360-degree camera market is heating up, making the Osmo 360 an anticipated challenger to the Insta360 X5 and GoPro Max. GoPro's delayed Max 2 could provide an opening for DJI, as it faces repeated delays and only minor updates from the 2020 original.

In addition to the Osmo 360, DJI is rumored to be releasing the Osmo Nano, a smaller camera that has also appeared in FCC listings. The Osmo Nano's name suggests it will be a compact addition to the Osmo lineup. However, like the Osmo 360, launch details for the Osmo Nano have yet to be announced.

It remains to be seen whether these cameras will be released in the U.S., as DJI's new Mavic 4 Pro flagship drone has been postponed due to tariff uncertainty.

The anticipated releases of the Osmo 360 and potentially the Osmo Nano have led to their inclusion in various industry watch lists as eagerly awaited products. While no official dates have been set, the solar season is fast approaching, making new 360-degree cameras especially coveted for capturing outdoor adventures.
