Announcements from Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase July 2025: Includes Monster Hunter, Octopath 0, and Further Titles Revealed
New Games Announced in Recent Nintendo Partner Showcase
In a thrilling turn of events, the Nintendo Partner Showcase has unveiled a host of exciting new games set to grace our screens in the near future. Here's a rundown of the most anticipated titles:
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection
Capcom has announced the next instalment in the Monster Hunter series, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection. The game features a new Rathalos rider and is scheduled for release in 2026, although a specific date has yet to be announced.
Square Enix Announcements
Square Enix had a lot to share at the showcase. They announced a new entry in the Katamari series, Once Upon a Katamari, coming to Switch 2 on October 24. Additionally, they revealed two new HD-2D titles: The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales and Octopath Traveler 0.
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales does not have a confirmed release date, but a demo is available for play. Octopath Traveler 0, a prequel to the popular Octopath Traveler, is set to launch sometime next year. Both games promise to retain the classic turn-based combat and feature the same amazing visuals.
Chronos: New Dawn
Chronos: New Dawn, an atmospheric time-traveling horror adventure game, will launch on September 5, 2022, for the Nintendo Switch. The game features third-person combat against mutating and evolving enemies and focuses on the protagonist's sanity. It can also be played on the go.
Apex Legends, Borderlands 4, and More
Other notable releases from the showcase include Apex Legends launching on Switch 2 on August 5, 2025, Borderlands 4 releasing on October 3, 2025, and Hello Kitty Island Adventure - Wheatflour Wonderland coming in Fall 2025. Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, NBA Bounce, Goodnight Universe, and Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero are also set to release in 2025.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment
Nintendo also revealed a new entry in the Musou spinoff of the Zelda franchise, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. Although no firm release date was announced, the game hints at a lot more story to add to the lore. The game's main companion assists in both battles and puzzles, either alone or in co-op.
No Updates on Existing Nintendo Games
Regrettably, no updates or announcements were made regarding any existing Nintendo games during the Partner Showcase.
