Angel's Envy Unveils First Age-Statement Bourbon: 10 Year Cask Strength

Angel's Envy, renowned for pioneering secondary barrel maturation, has unveiled its first-ever age-statement bourbon. The Angel's Envy 10 Year Cask Strength Bourbon, limited to 24,480 bottles, will hit shelves nationwide on October 10, priced at $250 per 750ml bottle.

Distilled in Louisville, Kentucky, this 10-year-old bourbon spent a decade maturing in both new charred oak and port wine barrels. The extended finishing process required strategic use of second-fill casks to preserve the bourbon's core character. The nose offers sweet cinnamon toast, creamy fruit nougat, and candied nuts. The palate opens with baklava, transitions through ripe apricot and creme brulee, and finishes with a subtle kick from grains of paradise. The bourbon is bottled at a robust 122.6 proof, showcasing the rich influence of port barrels. This is the 14th edition of Angel's Envy's annual Cask Strength series, featuring bourbon distilled in 2014 and 2015.

The Angel's Envy 10 Year Cask Strength Bourbon, with its complex flavors and limited availability, is set to be a highly sought-after addition to any spirits collection. Its release marks a significant milestone for the brand, demonstrating the impact of age and secondary barrel maturation on the taste of bourbon.
