Hey there! 🤩

You won't believe it! With just over 798 backup automated counting machines (ACMs) stored among local government units (LGUs) across Cebu and Bohol, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) is fully prepared for the May 12, 2025 midterm elections 💪.

Comelec 7 Director Francisco Pobe shared that these backup machines will be deployed as immediate replacements if there are any hiccups with the main machines on Election Day. They say preventive measures are essential, no? 😌

These contingency units are safely kept at canvassing centers within each LGU, ready to be rolled out should any vote-counting machine unexpectedly break down during the voting process. It's all about being swift and reliable when it matters the most! 🏃‍♂️

Now, here's a fun fact: Out of the 798 contingency machines, an impressive 578 are allocated for Cebu, while Bohol gets the remaining 220. This clever distribution ensures both provinces have ample backup coverage, adhering to Comelec's contingency planning protocols 🤝.

Apart from these backup units, around 5,000 ACMs have already been delivered for regular use in voting precincts throughout Cebu and Bohol 📪.

No worries, folks! Pobe has confirmed that all these machines have passed preliminary checks and are in excellent working condition. Final testing and sealing were completed on May 7, showing a clean bill of health for all the units 🏆.

No issues whatsoever were found during the testing process, giving voters peace of mind that the elections are as secure as can be 🔒.

Here's the best part: The availability of contingency machines, the success of the final testing, and ensuring a smooth, efficient, and genuine electoral process in Region 7 are part of Comelec's ongoing dedication to guarantee a seamless voting experience 🌟.

As Election Day approaches, Pobe remains focused on coordinating with LGUs and local election officers to guarantee logistics, security, and technical support are all in place for a trouble-free and uninterrupted voting experience in Central Visayas 🌱.
