Apple has recently unveiled the AirPods Pro 3, the latest addition to its popular line of wireless earphones. The new model boasts several significant improvements, including an enhanced noise cancellation system, extended battery life, and a live translation capability.

The AirPods Pro 3's noise cancellation uses ultra-low noise microphones, advanced computational audio, and new foam-infused ear tips to deliver the world's best Active Noise Cancellation of any in-ear wireless headphones. It removes twice as much noise as the previous AirPods Pro generation and four times more than the original AirPods Pro.

In terms of battery life, the AirPods Pro 3 offers a 33% increase in music playback time with active noise cancellation enabled, providing up to eight hours. In Transparency mode, battery life reaches up to 10 hours, a 67% improvement over the previous generation.

The AirPods Pro 3 are also manufactured with 40% recycled content and 40% renewable electricity across the supply chain, demonstrating Apple's commitment to sustainability.

One of the standout features of the AirPods Pro 3 is the live translation capability. This feature enables face-to-face conversations across nine different languages, initially including English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish. Four additional languages - Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (simplified) - will be added by the end of the year.

For conversations where only one person has AirPods, users can display live transcription on their iPhone screen in the other person's preferred language. When both users wear AirPods with Live Translation enabled, the active noise cancellation lowers the volume of the other person speaking to help focus on the translation.

The live translation feature works hands-free and is powered by computational audio and Apple Intelligence. However, due to regulatory restrictions, it will not be available in European Union countries. It will be available in Switzerland, and supporting languages including English, French, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese will be offered outside the EU.

The AirPods Pro 3 also expand Apple's hearing health features, including Hearing Protection now available to EU and UK users, a scientifically validated Hearing Test, and automatic Conversation Boost for hearing aid users in loud environments.

Apple has introduced several changes to the design of the AirPods Pro 3. The earphones feature a redesigned fit based on over 10,000 ear scans and over 100,000 hours of user research. Additionally, five ear tip sizes, including a new XXS option, are now available for the AirPods Pro 3.

Customers in the US and more than 50 other countries and regions can pre-order the AirPods Pro 3, with availability in stores beginning September 19. For more information, visit Apple's official website.
