Aichach Residents Warned: Police Issue Urgent Scam Call Alert

Residents of Aichach are warned about a surge in telephone scam calls. The local police have issued a statement, urging caution and providing guidelines to protect citizens from these fraudulent attempts.

The police have noticed an increase in 'shock calls', where scammers use urgent or threatening language to pressure victims into handing over their savings. It's crucial to stay calm and verify any requests for money or personal information by contacting the relevant authority or family member using a known number.

The police have stressed that they will never ask for money. If you suspect a scam, hang up immediately and call the emergency number 110. Additionally, never give money to strangers or let them into your home without proper verification.

The head of the press department at Polizeipräsidium Oberbayern Nord, Michael Graf, advises residents to be vigilant and follow these guidelines to protect themselves from telephone scams.
