The technology giant, OnePlus, has expanded its product line with the introduction of the OnePlus Pad Lite, a budget-friendly tablet designed for media consumption and basic productivity.

Sporting an 11-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and a 16:10 aspect ratio, the OnePlus Pad Lite boasts a 90 Hz refresh rate and up to 500 nits brightness. The display supports the DCI-P3 colour gamut but lacks HDR support, offering a pixel density of 207 PPI and tempered glass protection.

Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 chipset, built on a 6nm process, featuring an octa-core CPU (2x Cortex-A76 at 2.2 GHz and 6x Cortex-A55 at 2 GHz) and a Mali-G57 MP2 GPU clocked at 1000 MHz. The device includes a neural processing unit (NPU) for AI tasks.

In terms of memory and storage, the OnePlus Pad Lite comes with either 6GB RAM + 128GB storage (Wi-Fi model) or 8GB RAM + 128GB storage (LTE model). Regrettably, it does not support microSD storage expansion.

The tablet runs Android 15 with OxygenOS 15 optimized for larger screens, allowing features like screen mirroring and file transfers between the tablet and compatible OnePlus phones.

For cameras, the device has a single 5MP camera on the front and rear, and the front camera supports face recognition as a security feature. It lacks a fingerprint scanner.

The OnePlus Pad Lite offers quad speakers with Hi-Res audio support, including SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD, and LDAC codecs, and connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 5, with optional LTE.

The tablet's battery capacity is 9340 mAh, supporting fast charging at 33W via USB-C, and it promises up to 11 hours of video playback.

Physically, the tablet measures approximately 254.9 x 166.5 x 7.39 mm, weighs 530 grams, and sports a metal frame and back, offered in blue colour. It has a screen-to-body ratio of about 82.7% but is not water-resistant.

Pricing at launch in the UK is around £169 ($229) for the Wi-Fi model and £199 ($270) for the LTE version.

With its budget-friendly price, modest processing power, strong audio features, and media-centric design, the OnePlus Pad Lite caters to those seeking an affordable tablet for entertainment and light productivity. However, its limited storage expansion and premium display aspects may disappoint those seeking a more feature-rich device.

In addition to its MediaTek Helio G100 chipset and a budget-friendly price of £169, the OnePlus Pad Lite also boasts quad speakers with Hi-Res audio support and an 11-inch IPS LCD display. However, it disappoints those seeking a more feature-rich device with its limited storage expansion and lack of water-resistance. On the other hand, cricket fans in India might find it appealing as a gadget for enjoying their favorite technology, such as live cricket scores and streaming apps, without breaking the bank.
