A new interactive thriller game is on the horizon, developed by Scriptic and starring acclaimed actor Ralph Ineson. The title of the game has yet to be announced, but it promises to delve into the controversial concept of predictive policing in a near-future Britain.

Set five years from now, the game imagines a Britain where predictive policing has halved crime rates. Players will take on the role of a detective, working alongside Ineson's character, DCI Remi Saunders, to investigate individuals flagged by an algorithm for crimes they have not yet committed.

Ineson's performance in the game is described as naturalistic, raw, and charged with the impossible stakes you face together. His character, Saunders, is a principled, by-the-book detective whose dedication to his work masks a private grief and is haunted by the loss of his son in a mass-casualty attack.

The game is being built as a cross-platform title for Steam, console, and cloud. It features live-action sequences with Ralph Ineson, including a bodycam live stream chase through London's underground rail network. The format blends live-action drama with the tactile thrill of investigating real-world digital lives.

Players will work each case from their police surveillance console, delving into the intimate digital lives of individuals flagged by PREDICT to decide whether the algorithm is right or wrong - and whether to convict or clear. Ineson's character serves as a sounding board for players, prompting them to determine the fate of the accused.

Scriptic's CEO and co-founder, Nihal Tharoor, stated that Ineson's casting was a result of the studio's aim to collaborate with world-class talent. Ineson himself has an impressive resume, including roles in "The Fantastic Four: First Steps," "Nosferatu" (2024), "The Northman" (2022), "The Green Knight"(2021), "The Witch" (2015), HBO's "Game of Thrones" (2012), and the BBC sitcom "The Office" (2001-2003). He has also done extensive voice acting work in video games, including "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" (2013), "Diablo IV" (2023), and "Final Fantasy XVI" (2023).

The game's story draws on forecasting research to explore how emerging AI could plausibly reshape policing and justice. It is described as a morally complex interactive experience, with player choice shaping the story in a world grappling with predictive policing technologies. The game is titled after games like Papers, Please and prestige dramas like Slow Horses, where every choice carries moral weight.

As of August 2025, the game's title and exact release date have not been officially disclosed by Scriptic. However, with such an intriguing concept and a talented cast, it's sure to be a game worth watching out for.
