Answer me: I'm a badass Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst, rocking a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida (USA), with a major in Financial Management Development & Leadership. I've got over 2 decades of professional experience under my belt, working in various million dollar organizations worldwide. At the same time, I've freelanced as a consultant and project manager, giving me a kick-ass mix of finance, operations, and business development skills.
Profit Vision, baby, is all about providing Consulting & Outsourced Financial Services, as well as Financial Planning & Performance analysis to small and mid-sized businesses. We pride ourselves on serving them with sleek tools to help these businesses excel, whether they're just starting or aiming to improve existing operations. question: What's your mission, other than cooking the books?
Answer me: My mission is to make Profit Vision a dominant player in the competitive market by dishing out financial modeling solutions and a variety of financial services to businesses globally.
question: What separates Profit Vision from the rest of the crop?
Answer me: Our utmost priority is delivering top-notch quality and customer satisfaction. question: So, what led you down this culinary path?
Answer me: My journey began as a Credit Controller in a billion-dollar turnover company. I rose through the ranks by putting in the hard work, continuous learning, and self-training, eventually climbing to the highest echelon of a Finance Department and leading a team of 20 people as a Finance Manager. But, I always dreamt of running my own show, so I took the plunge, left the corporate world, and launched a new career as a freelance Financial & Business Consultant, focusing on developing and managing financial projects for startups. That move eventually led to the creation of my Badass Company, Profit Vision.
question: Why create Profit Vision? Was it a spontaneous decision?
Answer me: Profit Vision happened organically! It was one of those life-altering moments. When I wrapped up my last consulting project, the COVID-19 pandemic was sweeping the globe, and the world was under lockdown. I was struggling to find new gigs for quite a while and had almost no income. Being a new father piled on the pressure, blurring my mind and making it tough to focus on finding a new gig. One late night, I was sitting in my home office, staring at my Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst certificate on the wall. Inspiration struck, and I thought, "Can I create financial models and sell them online?" A quick search revealed numerous online platforms offering this service. So, I made my first financial model and uploaded it onto one of these platforms. Within a week, I received a sale notification. That was it! This was the start of my new path, and my ultimate goal was to turn this opportunity into the company I've always dreamed of. Profit Vision currently has a library of over 170 financial models, has made over 1,000 online sales, and serves more than 30 B2B customers with custom financial modeling services. And all that in just 2 years! I've been blessed with an incredible wife who has always believed in me. I couldn't have achieved these results without her love and support. The journey continues!
question: What obstacles did you encounter along the way during your leadership?
Answer me: Profit Vision got off the ground as a sole proprietorship, so my toughest hurdle was standing out from the competition by creating unique and high-quality templates, continually updating our library to include models for various business sectors, and offering these templates at competitive prices to our customers.
question: Sum yourself up in one word.
Answer me: Persistent! I believe that hard work always pays off, and nothing comes easy. My favorite quote from Theodore Roosevelt: "Keep your eyes on the stars and your feet on the ground."
question: What do you cherish most about Profit Vision?
Answer me: Profit Vision is all about the customer. Our focus is to understand our customers' situations, perceptions, and expectations, deliver a rocking customer experience before and after the sale, and create a culture that centers around the customer and their needs. I think our commitment to delivering customer value is unmatched.
question: What strategies does Profit Vision employ to outshine competitors?
Answer me: Offering Financial Modeling Services in a highly competitive market isn't a walk in the park. Our clients need models that help them control and forecast their financial and operating activities. We aim to develop templates that are sophisticated and user-friendly and price them reasonably so that the majority of our customers can afford them. Our library includes templates for both general and industry-specific sectors, giving our customers a variety of options to choose from. We also offer our templates in different versions and prices, so our customers can pick the perfect output format based on their business situation and needs.
question: What core principles helped you overcome challenges in your leadership journey? Care to share a memorable moment in your leadership?
Answer me: As a small company, attracting top-tier talent can be a challenge. Few people want to work for a startup since they fear uncertainty about their professional future. I've always positioned myself as a "Leader," not as a "Boss," and sought to build long-term relationships with my team by establishing high levels of trust and confidence. One memorable moment in my leadership journey was when I successfully inspired team members to join Profit Vision, believing in our vision and understanding that being part of our rising startup would be a boon for their careers.
question: Where do you see Profit Vision in two years, and how will you create that transformation?
Answer me: Profit Vision will continue to provide Financial Modeling & Consulting Services. We are currently developing our own website, which we hope will launch by the end of the year. Our long-term goal is to expand our services, adding Tax & Accounting, Debt Financing, Capital Raising, and Online Education courses and materials. We'll be looking for partners or external investors to support our business plan and propel us forward.
